Why read this blog?

I am not a millionaire, I am not a high paid employee. I am an Average Joe Six Pack who has built wealth in my early 30s. I am in the 94th percentile for net worth for my age while being the sole bread winner for my family.

So many times, I see blogs for personal finance and the author is an engineer, a lawyer, a CPA, or both parents work and get paid together pretty well. Or, I hear a story about how someone has made enough money that they “retired” but their spouse is still working.

Not to discredit those other blogs, who provide excellent value and some great lessons. However, this blog’s message is for the average family in America today. The median family income according to the Census in 2018 was $61,937.

This blog is aimed towards families like that, or who make less! This is for the folks who may want to share a Bud Light together and learn some tips and tricks to get your mind right regarding finances. I am not claiming that you can retire in 4 years and sit on a beach, nor will I share my “secret” is that we eat dog food to save money! However my goal is to share what I’ve done to put my family in a pretty good spot, and I’m sure you all can do the same!

Full Disclosure: I am not an attorney, tax professional, or licensed financial advisor. Do your own research and make your own decisions as you should do with most every important decision in your life. This blog is for informational purposes only.
